Hi all.
Anyone any one good with electrics please :)
The heater on our bis only works on one speed, when you push the switch away from you and i think that's the fastest one?
If i pull it towards me i get nothing.
Are the electrics on the fiat a switchable earth system? Is there an easy way to test if its the switch, blower of the wires in between please :)

If you remove the switches, on the back of the switch you have three connections
MB supply from fuse
Z supply to fan motor 2nd speed
B supply to fan motor 1st speed
You obviously have a feed going in on MB
See if you have a feed coming out on B when switch operated if not it is your switch
If you have a feed you then need to check to see if you have a feed at the motor, if not you have a broken wire between switch and fan
If you have a feed at the motor it is probably the resistor that has gone
On my Bis there is a resistor mounted at the back of the front panel hidden by the spare wheel I have a sneaky feeling this could be the heater motor resistor, but only having it a few weeks I haven't had chance to investigate
Easy enough job to do but hard to describe but hope it helps

I get its the switch. Mine fell apart inside so the contacts wouldn't touch

Ok thanks guys, i will look into it and post back the results :good:

Cheers guys, its working now :D
Turned out to be a bad connection on the fan motor :yahoo:

The 3 spring thing is a resistor that controls the dip/main beam on your head lights. :)
