Title: 126 engine dating

  hello from Lincolnshire.. i'm trying to date the engine in my 126 trike.. i belive its an early Italien made engine. the number is a1-ooo-4625657  any info would be appreciated..

The engine number in my 1979 air cooled 650 cc starts with 468 and four more digits, so if you can find out how many engines Fiat produced per year it would give you an approximate year of manufacture.

thanks for that info Rick. by my reconing mine is a 79 too. would you know what the exhaust emmisions should be for a 79  ie Co and Hc ppm..  what we have is a trike which is off for its MSVA test and they have asked for its year for the emmisions.. any help you can give will be brillient.. my friend who owns it [i just built it] will be posting some pics soon...  :)

Vosa don't list the 126 anymore but do specify the maximum emissions depending on the year, See chart.
