Hi,
I have recently purchased a Fiat 126 trike! My intention was to scrap it and keep the identity but after trailering it home and looking at it out of my workshop window I have decided to take on the challange of recommissioning it for the road. Not sure if I am welcome on here as I only have in theory half a 126 which may Be an abonination to some!
The body is ripe and I will have to repair or replace a fair portion of it, so my first question is regarding the availability of rear floor/wishbone crossmember and what is the best way to lower the back end? Chop the existing springs or swap for alternatives?
I'm sure to have lots of questions over the coming months..

Good for you, Rob, and very best of luck in getting this unfinished project finished. There's a thread on the Forum (others more skilled than me will doubtless post a link to it) lamenting the number of 126s that are sacrificed on the altar of a bike or other mod (typically involves transplanting in a Jag V12...) never to return to the road and end up on eBay or that great car park in the sky...
This project was in fact featured in that very thread, as I remember well, having made a comment myself regarding the likely comfort (or agony...) of spending more than a mile or so in the driver's seat, so it will be gratifying indeed to all of us if you can succeed where others have boldly gone before you, only to falter along the way.
