Title: Instrument Cluster Indicator Light replacement
Post by: poxxxy on October 09, 2014, 08:38:08 PM
Noticed on the way home today that the indicator light on the instrument cluster seems to have died... easy to replace or a PITA? :).  Might be time to refurb all of them if I sort it out... luckily indicators are still working which I was unsure about on the way home!

Looks easy enough in the Haynes manual - go into the luggage bay, remove speedo cable, remove electrics connectors (1 each side), go to cabin, remove two screws from front of cluster, remove cluster, remove bulb holders (quarter turn anti-clockwise iirc), replace bulbs (grip and pull out straight).. am I missing something ?

Per the Fiat Forum, replacement bulbs including LED variants (in blue) are available here:

and various colours are available as filament bulbs.

I advise from experiance to remove the stering wheel (if you have the larger wheel)

Cheers guys, will tackle it some point soon but tomorrow I have to fit the new fuel pump and oil pressure sensor, hopefully the light stays out...

when I did this, once the 2 screws under the switch panel were removed, I found the hardest bit was unclipping this switch panel from the outer cowl or pod. You have to pull the bottom right out first, so as to unclip the 3 hidden moulded in plastic clips/lugs which are equally spaced at the top inside. It does help removing the steering wheel as the angle is over 45degrees to release, so hits the wheel. Once released you get enough room to disconnect the connectors and speedo cable, must remember to mark connector plugs up as they can easily be refitted in the wrong positions.
