Hi All,
My local MOT Tester has failed my car on excesive corrosion to the Offside and Nearside centre sill. Unfortunately i have not had chance to get to my mechainc to have a look at this in person yet but wondered if anybody could maybe translate this part. Does he meen the Floor Pan/Transmission Tunnel type thing lol.
Thanks,
Nik

Not sure, but if the MOT tester is stating it's the offside and nearside, I would guess he is referring to the main side sills?

Yes i thought it was strange. It has failed on inner sill which is exactly as it says but centre sill????? the only other thing i can think is actually the floor pan around the seat or something and that is the closest fail code he can find in the VOSA system.

Maybe the inner sills? See pic..

did he squeeze the inside sills with his hands as some of them do , meaning he felt weakness when he squeezed his hands , outer could be ok just localised inner sill repair or both owen nw

God knows. I just bought as many panels for that area as possible and will leave it with my garage to sort now. Going up tomorrow to see it on the ramp for myself so will have a better idea of what's what. Sadly i just aint got the time to sort it myself as i want to get it UK registered and locked away for the winter so mini resto now with a view to full resto next year at some point...... if i grow out of its current rat look lol
