Has any one fitted a new seat belt to an inertia reel? Are they in designed to have new belts fitted?
MOT is due and I have a seat belt with very ragged edges, an obvious fail.

Try these people:

They redid the static belts in my Ami and I can only say that I'd not use anyone else when it comes to the belts. They are awesome, helpful and lovely people.
Cheers

Thank you Mat. I got as far as striping the old belt out of the inertia reel, but then couldn't find anyone locally to supply the new webbing! Currently I am driving around with a spare, non-inertia belt on the drivers side, pain in the neck. So I will give these people a try.

Hi
I asked Sue at FDTS about belts for a Fiat 126 and this was their response:
New set of belts from us would begin at £58.50 each (pair £117) plus carriage plus VAT (if all four £234) – webbing colour and with non-chrome hardware of your choice.
It is best to pay them a visit as they have a swatch book of all the different colours of webbing you can have, I went for a old fashioned 1960's look webbing for my Ami's static belts. I'm really pleased with how it came out.

Thank you again Matt. I managed to get it through the MOT with the temp. seat belt on the drivers side, so the urgency has receded! But must get it sorted for next spring, I have decided to SORN her for the winter months.
Changing the subject, have you considered showing your car at 'classics on the common' at Harpenden? You aren't too far away at Amersham, I plan to do it again next year, be great to be able to compare notes (and cars).
