Hi
Just an enquiry concerning the front panel on the Fiat 126.
Firstly are these easy to change?
Secondly as my car is an 1984 car is there a specific type? I understand that cars were facelifted in the 1990's so how can I tell the difference?
Cheers
Matt

Hi
Yes there was a difference, the later ones were all rounded at the front so you loose one of the most iconic part of the 126 that pointed nose between the headlights, that's why they just don't look right, if I was buying one I'd try and find a new old stock one they sometimes come up on ebay, as they will be a thicker gauge of steel and will fit a lot better than these new pattern ones
This is the right type http://www.ricambio.co.uk/697-front-panel--fiat-126
This isn't http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Classic-Fiat-126-front-panel-/171340330753?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27e4adf701
For changing them, I never have changed one but I assume you cut down the seams at the front and along the bottom and it should come out, I found it a pig of a job trying to line a wing I replaced up to the front but if you don't adjust the wings it should be pretty strait forward
Hope I've helped
