Wow I saw this last night. Fantastic. £2000 to have the head ported, skimmed new valves and springs. Money well spent I say.
Why fit a 126 engine and save a lot of money? Respray the car but leave the inside. Patch up the dodgy sill that you can buy a panel for £35.00 am I starting to rant? Aghhhh just a bit, was I shouting at the TV YES I WAS  :$

Sorry Great Program.

I saw the program and the two principal actors seemed to do their best but that John Travolta has sunk so low and I had no idea that Tele Savalas was into old motors but I guess that they were at the mercy of the script writers.  :$
The initial purchase price was obviously rigged as a subtle bit of advertising and that cylinder head seemed to have morthed into a late 126 casting  ;D
I think that in the spirit of the TV program "Taxi" and the movie "Twins" Danny DeVito would have been a better "boss man" with Arne on the workforce and there were some authentic scenes where that guy was bashing the seats onto the runners with a club hammer just to show how dedicated they were to restoration.  :o
Amazing though that they never thought to squander £50 on a new clutch so it makes you wonder how skin deep that resto is ?
