Hello all, third post as a member and straight in for help - a good sign? ::)
Currently in the process of restoring a '87 Aircooled 126. So far, not too bad.
(More info on the jobs done so far : http://club126uk.co.uk/smf/index.php?topic=8821.0 )
Almost at MOT stage, bar a few small bits n bobs and one BIG headache...
Side lights - OK.
Dipped - zilch.
Full beam - OK.
To explain in a little more detail :
Flick the switch in the cabin to position one, side lights come on, rev counter illuminates.
Flick switch to position two : side lights flick for a millisecond, remain on, but no dip lights.
Pull full beam stalk to flash : full beam flashes and dash telltale illuminates.
Lower full beam stalk for continuous light : nothing, no telltale.
Headed to fuse box - the wiring is all in good condition, fuses intact.
Bulbs all in good order, connections good.
Rear lighting working correctly.
Confused.com!
3 weekends later, a lot of head-scratching, a lot of googling, a lot of nothing!
Does anyone have any tips / info or, ideally, a bit of info on what each fuse holder controls and what is supposed to enter and exit each respective fuse (I'm querying this purely cause the car came to me in 2000 bits and am slowly piecing the jigsaw together, with help of Haynes and Autobooks, though admittedly - the diagrams in their books are not my strong point!)
Many thanks in advance!

PS : initially searched the forum and found this :

As embarrassed as I am at admitting it - this means nothing to me. Lines and numbers are not my strong point i'm affraid :P

:welcome to the club, The circuit you have found is for the later type 126P, If you become a Subscriber Member you have access to manuals, Owner handbooks, Parts Lists Etc. This also helps to keep the Forum online and free from adverts ;)

You just got a new subscriber ;D
Off to figure this little gremlin out, thanks
-
Have you checked the switch itself, i.e. power in and power out?
-
Feel like I'm becoming a seasoned pro at reading these diagrams. ;D
Found this wiring schematic that matches my 1987 126, but can't find the "explanation" page - Checked the subscriber section and the website that's written on the image seems to no longer exist?
I don't suppose anyone has the other page of this?
I know what colours to look for thanks to this image but would be handy to know what each number relates to.
Thanks in advance!

There is an English diagram for the 1985 126 model in the subscribers section, it may also may be worth checking the Bis diagrams which may be very similar.

Wow, great stuff Chris!
After posting last night, it occured to me to look through the Bis section, and sure enough found lots of goodies.
Got to get this sorted soon, the little Fiat has got to see the sun this year (SUN?!?!) ;D
Many thanks again!!
