Does anyone know if the 500/air cooled reverse eye spring will fit a BIS? Just read a link that suggested that it didn't although I can't see why? Ricambio sell one and it looks (Dimentionally) the same? Can anyone conferm this?
Thanks

I've got one on mine and it fits fine :)

Cheers ministig I was hoping it would :) were you happy with the results? How much did it lower the car?
-
Yes. The results were great and it will lower it by about 35mm

My leaf spring is knackered, so I'm considering this.
Does it give a stiffer ride, or just the same?
Did you have any problems with ground clearance, eg, grounding on speed humps?
Were there any adverse effects? Did it change the cars wheel camber? Did it affect tyre wear?
-
Well I took the plunge and bought one. It arrived yesterday and I fitted it today. The car is notably lower but not "sump scrubbing" low - in fact if you didn't know it had one fitted you may not notice. A test run around the block reveled that the stiffness is about the same as the standard spring which is not surprising as it's essentially the standard spring but with the eye bolts turned upside down. I bought mine from Ricambio and it came super quick and was very well made with new bushes fitted so it was ready to fit. To early to tell about tyre wear but the camber seems to be the same :)

Interesting, I've got a 5 leaf reversed eye spring from Poland to fit soon. Be interesting to see what difference it makes.
