Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to the 126 scene I bought my bis in November and I've been using it as my daily. This is how it looked when I got it so it already had the chrome bumpers and plastics removed, the owner before me also fitted new mini seats.

Excuse the rubbish in the foot well it was a long drive home. :D
Since having it I've covered the back seats with marvel comic fabric

My poor effort at painting the wheels I didn't like the white ones

I gave the oil filter a clean out thanks to the advice on this site.

Then my exhaust snapped

Its been OK since I've had it welded up but it does need a good tune up. It cuts out as I come to a stop (with the clutch depressed :P ) if anyone has had this issue or knows of it I would greatly appreciate some advice. I don't have any pictures of it but I also fitted remote central locking and I'm thinking of having an exhaust made for it.

Getting a new exhaust made for the car and i had to swap out for a new coil and condenser as mine failed, made a short vid of the car running on straight through pipes :o

car looks good!
the Bis definitely needs more tuning options :)

Likewise, car looks great. That rear seat cloth is awesome!
One other thing on my list is to clean out the oil filter.

Check the little earth wire inside the top of the dizzy, it goes to the back of the condenser screw. I think that was what causing mine to cut out when coming to a stop. So many things fixed I get mixed up.

Well the exhaust is fixed up now. Looks quite big now its on the car. I've changed the head gasket for a copper one as it started to leak coolant everywhere... Down the exhaust in the cylinder and into the oil lol after quite a bit of fiddling with the carb and timing its now pretty smooth and not too loud :D
Nice shiny head

Using the original flanges, not as strong as I'd hoped

The finished product

Oh and cheers Marc the cutting out issues have stopped since I took the dizzy apart and put back together now with some locktight to stop anything else shaking loose.

The car looks lovely. I like the exhaust to :D. I need a pipe bender and a few dyes... i'd love to be able to fabricate an exhaust like that!
