Title: BRAND NEW LATE POLISH CRANKCASE
Post by: Rusty's Uncle on January 23, 2014, 06:32:53 PM
By a strange twist of fate I have become the owner of a new 652ccs crankcase from Poland. It is suitable for the later sensor type ignition , which I do not have and hence there is no hole to pop the normal distributor in. Up for grabs if anyone interested.

Not interested in buying, Rusty but very interested in hearing more about the 'strange twist of fate'!   :D

Rusty always has a good story, let me get my hot chocolate and sit by the camp fire to listen!

Well I do not remember too much hot chocolate going down the hatch at RR but I guess there is always a first  :o
Pete does run a fine "day after" cliniic in his tented emporium for the sick & wounded on the Saturday & Sunday mornings so get your orders in  :)
Maybe get to the story later  :o

Don't worry, Marc, it's not like Rusty to stay quiet for long.

Once he's finished uploading items of quality to eBay I am sure he will be back in touch...  ;D

Well I guess that it was more unexpected than strange. I bought a complete set of brand new parts to build a 652 ccs which was quite an exciting prospect. As I was packing away the bits to keep them warm & safe I noticed the lack of a hole to mount the distributor  :o
The crankcase does not even have an engine number stamped on it.
I do not want to go down the late type ignition route as I already have a number of new distributors & electronic ignition kits.
The crankcase would be a good basis if anyone was planning to build an engine for a late import model.
