Title: Introduction

Last September I finally finished rebuilding the family 126 (my wife's car since July 1985) last tax disc, still on the windscreen, dated 31/12/1986 which was when the alternator died. It was pushed to the back of the garage and forgotten!
Two house moves later, and retired, I actually found the time to sort it out, what a job! the lower 1/3 of the car had virtually dissolved.
But with a load of new panels and a coat of paint it looks as good as new.
So now it's back on the road and draws admiring looks, smiles and comments wherever we go.
If my computer skills are up to it, and if anyone is actually interested, I will attempt attach picture or two.

More than interested!! for sure! :thumbup And always great to see pictures of a project like yours!!

Just tried to attach 3 pictures, but got a message telling me the file was too big!
I have clicked on 'additional options' but can't see anything about attach picture, just 'attach' followed by a window followed by 'browse'. It also tells me the max file size is 82 KB, but all mi pictures are 400+ KB
Any ideas?

Got to drive it about a bit now to build some confidence in it's reliability, sett off to a Christmas lunch on Dec 14th, got half way and the condenser packed up. Wife was not amused!

Post by: rick on January 19, 2014, 10:52:20 AM: Thank you. Yes I plan to take it to a show in early June at Euston Hall in north Suffolk, Wife and I have taken our MGB GT there for the last 5 years. The show is always well attended (weather permitting) it is like a small county show, animals, steam engines, vintage tractors and about 200 classic cars of all descriptions. Well worth it if you live near enough.
Also there is a classic car event at Lavenham, also in Suffolk, in august.
I am considering Harpenden classics on the common, anything further afield is a bit daunting, but let's see how she behaves in the short term.

Sorry forgot to add I live in south west Norfolk just outside Thetford.
