I had my Fiat undersealed and the interior bits waxoyled by Proeitti about 2 years ago. Over the weekend, I thought I'd top up the waxoyl inside the doors, to find that they did not waxoyl it. I also removed the tail lights and air vents to top up the underseal, they did not do it as well. They did the bits you can see. I do not know what to say really. I have the receipt, but I am reluctant to bring the car back. It is a great shame. They are the only ones I know that are experts in 500/126 in London. I had the stub axle greased recently, waited for it to ensure that they did it!

Disappointing. If it was me I would go back and have a conversation with them around it. They are a family firm who present themselves as taking pride in what they do. I'd give them a chance to put it right and if they don't then at least you know for certain where you stand with them.

That's a pity. I used them for the first time this year - done all the servicing myself up to now but overhauling the steering rack was beyond me and there were a couple of other jobs needed for the MOT. They weren't cheap but they did a good job and were a friendly bunch. I agree with Gary that it's worth taking it up with them.

Unfortunately, I already waxoyled the front inside doors and rear inside panel. The tail lights and air vents are still outstanding. They regularly service my 126, and I agree they do a great job, but not this one. I'll speak to them next time, as my 126 is due a service in the new year. I'll hold back undersealing the air vents and behind the tail lights as it is still in good shape.
I had my 126 Mot'd recently. It had an advisory on the two rear tires. There was evidence of cracking on the side walls of the tire. I replaced the tires, to find that they did not underseal the trailing arms completely. I think they did not bother remove the tires when they undersealed. Sigh!!!

When I bought my 500L it came with a pile of receipts from Proietti. Most of them run of the mill jobs but the most recent one was for a carb rebuild at a cost of £220. The carb leaked petrol and did not run very well . When I took it off to have a look at it I found stripped threads, the wrong bolts and some of it held together with silicon rubber :o

Bad news travels faster than good. I hope this thread gets back to them, it`ll put alot of people off, and so it should. A number of " independant specialist garages" get away with their half arsed work ethic; excellent for bringing it to the fore. Mike.
P.S. Contact trading standards, I know I would.
