Hi every one in this lovely forum
i have 126 p 1991
i planed to swap the engine (may be with uno or punto .etc ) bigger one than the 650 cc
but i need it with an automatic gearbox ( that's the point of the project)
i don't care about what engine i will use but to make the car legal i have to use a fiat engine
with any gearbox they don't care about the gearbox only the engine & to still in the back
i saw many of projects but not with automatic gearbox
a friend suggest me fiat uno engine with cvt gearbox but its not available here in Egypt all uno's with manual gearbox so i was thinking about using a cvt Honda gearbox (but i don't know what model and what gearbox can fit with an uno or punto engine ) or any bigger engine
i am not very good with mechanics stuff
but real problem facing me now is the rotation of the engine if i put the engine side way the car will go back-word and if i rotate the engine i will not be able to connect the wheels with the gearbox because the gearbox will be facing the back of the car
i Guss in this case i have to rotate the gearbox but i cant do that with an automatic gearbox ( can I ? )
maybe with cvt gearbox ?
so i am stuck with this problem and cant start the project
i hope i can find here any suggestion for solve this problem ( i am a beginner in this stuf this is my first project :$ )
i am dreaming now with just the start
i already had the car 3 month ago & really love this car ;D here it is

Not sure if this of any help to you, but isn't the engine rotation of some of the Hondas the opposite to most cars? Someone did a conversion once (not a 126) and ended up with 5 gears for reverse :o

that one till me that about honda but still the axle facing the back if i use the gearbox

The type of work that you intend to do requires a lot of mechanical knowledge.
If you use an engine that rotates anti-clockwise you will find that you do not have to rotate the gearbox, well that's the theory..
