Hi guys,
My 1980 deville is still for sale. I bought it purely for use over this summer only, with every intention of selling come the winter. I have done a couple a few little tidy up jobs on it, but with a little bit more work it could be mint.
I need to sell it as I haven't got space for all these projects, and my other 1974 car should be back soon fingers crossed and I need to continue to fund that. I have got to a couple of shows, but not as many as I had planned. I dont want to leave it out uncovered over the winter, so would rather it went to a club member who can use it.
The car is a 1980 deville, low mileage and has road tax and MOT until February 2014!!!!!!! The car is road legal and you can just drive it away! I have been whizzing around in it, and it really is a lovely drive. It has done 26,000 miles but unfortunately it was a barn find so these miles cannot be verified with any service history. However you can tell it is low mileage by the way the engine sounds and drives. Engine sounds reall sweet, and the gear change is lovely.
There are a couple of little rust holes around the rear screen and front which will need attention at some point, but these are minor.
I bought it from a well known Fiat parts supplier, so mechanically it is sound.
It is potentially worth more than what I paid for it, but I only want to recoup my money and pass the car onto someone else. There are not many 126's for sale that are road legal and you can drive away!
NOW SOLD
Lots of new bits including;
Brand new exhaust, brackets, gaskets and bolts.
Brand new engine mount spring and rubbers
New gearbox linkage
Just serviced with;
New engine oil
New gearbox oil
New air filter
New gaskets

Yeah it is a really nice car. If im honest, deep down I don't want to sell it but it needs to go, as I have a lack of space, and I bought it on the condition that I sold it on after the summer. :$
Been really enjoying driving it around though.

I don't really want to sell the car, but need the cash to finance my 1974 project, which is currently a bit stalled. Got my eye on somthing else also, to compliment my 1974 aircooled anyway ;D

The deville is now sold and will be off to a new home in Norfolk. Not sold to a current club member, but hopefully he will be joining.
