:$ As Simon points out is he going for another engine in his Bis! ;)
So we all have to be patient and in the end admire HOW this Bis goes  :P

(I'm an engine swapper myself you see... 8))

well thanks for your support. actually had my bis 5 years so no im not getting rid of her. i don't feel that changing an engine is a bad thing its people's preferance. i love the unique stying of the bis and i will be keeping her. just changing engine for more power. i suggest that next time a sarcastic comment is made maybe it should be kept to yourself instead of making comments like that to new members. because then you don't feel welcome in the club!.

sarcasm? sorry if you feel that you are being singled out for special treatment but this engine mod business has cropped up time and time again and only a very few have ever materialised into a working road legal car most end up as scrap value pieces on e bay, forgive me but i thought this club was intended for lovers of the 126 and preservation of the 126 both in air cooled and water cooled forms. Now if you love the bis so much you will understand that by replacing the engine with a bike or bigger engine will then make the car a completely different drive to the original so would it not just be easier to go and purchase a bigger more powerful car? i nearly went down the route of putting a 1102 engine in my car however did not as the downsides out weighed the plus sides. and as an aside if you feel unwelcome then tough do not wax lyrical about how much you love your car then in the next breath mention "bike engine".....

Welcome to the club  ;D

Although we all love our cars we can get carried away sometimes on the club, but the truth is there are members of the club who are changing their engines and we all firstly thing oh and kind of feel sad but, it's great to see the modifications and following their progress

Good luck  ;D

Whether a 126 has an air cooled, water cooled or motorbike engine in it it's still a 126....and as such should be welcomed on this forum. It's not like we don't need the members... Fits well with the tuning and customising section😀

Ha Ha!! ;D ;D ;D
Good luck with the conversion.
If people didn't take bits off 126's, we wouldn't be able to buy second hand parts.

Yeah I thought the 1.2 Punto engine was the engine of choice for swaps in Poland now is it not?  :- would the turbo engine be any bigger physically?

sounds like it would be great fun, mad as a box of frogs  :P

i'll stick with my wee air cooled lump tho  :D good luck bud
