Title: New member - Milas
Post by: Milas on July 04, 2013, 07:22:19 PM
Hey guys,

I'm not really new, but have been mostly lurking in the shadows since my registration.
My name's Milas and my 126 is a '79, from Italy.
Bought the car for a bargain in non-working condition, but after 2 weeks I got it running again. "Great!", I thought, but soon I discovered the engine wasnt the only problem. I ended up buying a '00 Maluch, which I used as donor car. I transplanted everything usefull like the drivertrain, suspension and wiring harness into the '79 and thedonor ended up as in the bottom picture.
The bare body, which was rocksolid, found a new home.
I recently redid the brakes, including all the copper lines and front suspension, hoping to get it through dutch MOT before the end of the summer.

Cheers,
Milas

Hello and welcome to the forum. That was a great idea as the older Fiat 126 is more valuable and more desirable than the newer one.
