 .....that the fiat 500 uses the vw beetle rear windscreen as its front screen. Not alot of people know that.Mike.

That's actually amazing, is it fir al models or just specific ones?  I know a VW chap, I'l have to check it out...

Wow, very interesting! Thanks for that. It should make things a bit easier for us in the U.S. to get a new windshield if need be.

The model it comes from is the late 60`s 70`s beetle.as some while back I bought one off a fella who said it was a spare one for his 1600 Beetle and heard it fitted a 500, so in for a challenge I bought it for a tenner and it now resides in my Fiat. Same size/profile and also from an air cooled, rear engined car. Amazing stuff
Now when ever I see an old beetle I look at the rear screen thinking ...would he notice if i swapped it for another scratched  one I have..Mike.

 I`m sorry I have no idea whether it is or not, but either way , if you hit it with your head it`ll hurt. I will however look somtime if it stops raining, and let you know.Mike.
