Hello everybody! First and foremost, thank you for accepting me!! Im looking foward to working with all of you and gaining more knowledge. I just bought a 1978 126 and im very excited to begin work on her. I will be posting more pics as I go along. I am from New York, USA. I am living in Sicily, Italy right now for a couple more years then back to the states with the car. My goal with the 126 is to Abarth the motor out while the parts are easy to get and a lot cheaper than it would be with the shipping from the UK. I did post a picture of it where it was sitting before I bought it. Im not a fan of the black bumpers and the ones on the sides... so, that will be first to go. It has a strong 650cc engine. The only thing is 1st gear. I understand that the tranny is sycronized except for 1st and its common for it to be a bit noisy too. I also plan on buying another 650cc motor and tranny for when i go back that i will do a full rebuild to it just in case something happens to the motor i have now in the car. Soo, in conclusion i am looking foward to talking to the fellow forum members and hope that I can find a club or other classic fiat owners around NY!!! Thanks again!
