Hello. I want to swap my 650cc to punto 1,2 16v. How hard it will be and what problems there gone be ?
Are there any other engines I can swap more easily ? And where to look for them ?
Has anybody done something like this ? How much did it cost for you ?
Thank you :)

is a very good question!
as with the registration of the Fiat 126 engine from the punto?
around April I would like to buy a Fiat 126, but in England there is very little air-cooled ... and if I had to buy a water-cooled I want to do is swap the 1.2 punto...
but I'm afraid it does not register with. does anyone here have a swap??

If you are planning on doing a swap in the UK I hope you have deep pockets, doing the work so the car can be road legal is a very tough job.

but how? As for preparing car care?
or the legalization?

Surely if this can be MOT-ed and road legal an engine swap shouldn`t be such a problem :o

Replacing a 126 engine with a Punto 1.2 engine will be quite challenging even for a mechanical engineer. But even of you succeed in the conversion, the structural integrity of the car could be compromised. You need to think about modifying the suspension and brakes as well.
