does Fiat 600 engine fit on Fiat 126 gearbox

 It would only fit with an adapter plate.

 but you might as well use a 127 engine, as there is a big difference in power compared to 600.

 A decent engineering place would be able to make one of them plates up for you and the 903cc was fitted in loads of Fiats, Zastavas, Yugos and Seat Marbella too, just to mention few...
