Title: compression test
Post by: aircobra on July 30, 2012, 12:12:30 PM
hi all,
the mechanic has tested the comp and has given me 75/85. i noticed some people in the forum are claiming 120.
is it time for new rings and a valve grind? doesn't seem to use any oil and doesn't smoke
the mechanic was saying that maybe the valve clearance needs adjusting

Some time ago found this info in a Polish source:

600/650/650Е/ЕL/ELX...

Normal:
0,8 +/-0,05 MPa
8,15 +/-0,5 kg/cm2
8 +/-0,5 bar

Minimum:
0,65 MPa
6,65 kg/cm2
6,5 bar

126 BIS

Normal:
0,95 МРа
9,7 kg/cm2
9,5 bar

Minimum:
0,7 МРа
7,15 kg/cm2
7 bar

Cinquecento 700

Normal:
1,1 МРа
11,2 kg/cm2
11 bar

Minimum:
0,95 МРа
9,7 kg/cm2
9,5 bar

The difference between two cylinders must be maximum 0,1 МРа or 1 kg/cm2.

Better make a test with a leak down gauge and statoscope.

Converted 1bar = 14.5038 psi

Then for the air cooled normal is about 123 to 109 psi and minimum 94,3 psi. :$
