When I bought my 126 it had a disc conversion already fitted (Yippee) but If I need to buy pads I don't know what type to ask for. Can anyone identify what calipers I have and what pads to ask for?

they are fiat cinquecento /punto calipers.

From the picture I am sure that Bis13 is right and I am guessing that it is a disc conversion for 12" wheels as I can see that the carrier has had the reinforcing bar cut away to clear the hub on the disc. I would also guess that the disc is 210mms diameter. Don't panic as I bought the same part for my 500L and it stops way better than my "non disc" 126 and has not fallen apart in the last 4 years. When sold these units are described as using standard Fiat parts. True but they fail to mention that they include modified parts. The calliper carrier is cut down , the disc has to be machined down and the brake pads need to be machined or ground out on the internal radius to clear the disc hub. :$

Try locating the part on http://www.ebcbrakesdirect.com/ if you remove the pads you can check the dimensions match with their online catalogue, start with the cinquecento which looks to be the most likely match.

Thats great. Thanks both.
The disc conversion is a must if you use the car everyday
I might see if the racing pads for the Punto fit. :D

are you running on 12" wheels if thats not the case then you can simply fit some standard cinq/punto calipers and than you will not have to go through all the hassle of modifying pads and discs to fit thats if your wheels are 13" obviously.
