hello ive got a 126 engine in my garden , and ive just squirted a few drops of oil down the boar holes . and have tried to turn the engine via the centre of the altenater , and all that happens is the belt slips ??
is ther anyother way i can turn the engine by hand please?
any help be great

If the engine is out of the car and gearbox removed, try turning the flywheel instead. If the gearbox is still attached check that it's in neutral.

thank you .. the gearbox isnt attached ... it was though and it was in gear?
or doesnt it matter now though ?? or could the engine still be in gear??
thank you for the help
i will try the flywheel when not so bloody cold hehe

If the gearbox is off thats ok, it cannot be in gear.
I would take the spark plugs out and spray some plus gas in the cylinders, do it a few times over a few days. Then try spinning the flywheel to see if you can loosen things.
Good Luck!

Plus Gas is a penetrating oil it's a lot better than WD40. You can buy it at Halfords and most Motor Factors.
