I am starting to loose my rag with the little one! I've had help with the timing (Thanks pete) but the little one is still popping and loosing power. If I advance the timing it revs like mad! But still no joy. I'm at a loss :headscratch:
How do I tune this son of a ferrari! :$
How can you tell what RPM the engines doing when thre is no rev counter?
HELP I'M FED UP. If I can't get it sorted I am gonna have to take it to the garage to get it sorted once and for all.

Could it be vacuum problems, or a blockage in the fuel return, or loose butterfly in the carb, or dodgy wires somewhere?
-
oooooh you've narrowed it down then :D
I think I might shoot myself ???
Thanks for your help.
I was hoping you was going to say, oh just turn this and away you go. But thats too easy ;D

Does it pop at low or high revs, when moving off, or slowing down?

I think that popping at low revs mean it is running lean so change fuel filters, check fuel lines, check fuel pump, if they don't work, clean the carb.

Thanks Hazey, I will take it all on board. :thumbup
I put a new grub screw in the condensor because the other one was to long, it was touching the vac arm (this could be one problem sorted).
I have re-done the timing and I think its ok :-
Pete said I should try a squirt of carb cleaner at the base of the carb, to see if it will rev faster and if so then there could be a leak. (Pete correct me if this doesn't sound right).
I will keep you posted.
