If I was to convert to cinquecento discs on the front of my 126 presumably I would need cinquecento wheel bolts to fit?
Also do the drums from the rear of the cinq fit the rear of the 126 so I could have cinq wheel bolts all round?
The reason I ask is that I have a set of Alfa Sud wheels that need a 15mm spacer and I was looking at cinq spacers on ebay and was trying to work out what exactly I would need to make it all work..(brakes, wheels bolts, spacers etc... :))

Very good point. I am in the process of convert my front drum brakes to Cinquecento discs. Cinquecento bolts are M12 x 1.25 with 60 degree cone seat. The Fiat 126 use M12x1.5

I think the hubs are different enough to not be interchangeable. And as Amateb8 says, the thread pitch is different. Best bet is ebay. To find the required length do the following:
1.) Put one of your standard bolts through a standard wheel and measure the exposed length on the reverse of the wheel.
2.) Put that same bolt through your Alfasud wheel and do the same, note the difference (if any).
3.) Measure the shank length of the standard bolt
The new bolts need to be shank +/- difference + 15mm (for your spacers).

For example, if the shank is 30mm currently, exposed 12mm on standard wheels but only 8mm on the Alfasuds you need 30mm+4mm+15mm = 49mm.

Ford & VW use the same pitch as the 126 bolts, along with the 60 degree lead.
I bought a set last week from ebay to play about with.
Once you know what length you need there are a multitude of different shank lengths available.

Only slight niggle is the bolt head is 17mm. 126 uses 19mm.
best to swap all bolts and buy a vw wheel brace unless you want to carry 2 of them!

if you convert the front to disc brakes you simply take away the drum brakes and replace with the adapter plate, disc and do not need to replace the wheel nuts as you are still using the same stub axles and front hub so no need to change, i have done this and have had no problems if still in any doubt ask some more folk who have converted to disc.

That is a very good point!
I bought a set of longer bolts as I was playing with hub spacers and needed the extra length.
I have discs on the front, with steel rims and have used the standard 126 bolts, they fit fine.
You might need longer bolts if you are fitting alloys.

I have discs fitted to both my 500 GAMINE and the 126 used the standard bolts on both. Checked I had enough length on the bolt. Measured the thickness of the axle flange and the exposed length from the back of alloy, only about 2mm difference so used original bolts.

my theory is if the wheel falls off whilst going round a corner then there is a problem that needs addressing......so far it has not happened so thats a confirmed success.
