Title: Hi from Kettering
Post by: nathanrobo on April 09, 2012, 03:13:34 PM
Hi all!

A quick hello (I first registered some time ago) but I haven't really posted.

I've been playing with old Fiats since I was 14 (over 30 yrs ago) and I've owned a number of 500's a 126, an 850 sports coupe and a 124 spider just to mention a few.

I currently have a '71 500L and a '66 Nuova and I'm looking for a 126 for my oldest.  Until about 3 years ago classic Fiats were just a hobby for the odd weekend as I was flying all over the place for work.  But since getting canned in 2009, more recently I've been building up a small business supplying new and used bits for 500's and 126's.

It's nice to see so much activity with the 126s in the last couple of years, they are really becoming collectable now!

That's a cool looking 126 in the pic.  Do you have any details?

Welcome, There are a few about at the moment. What are you looking for? Bis or aircooled?

Definitely an aircooled!  Taught my 18 year old to drive (2000 miles with me beside him in my 2.4 Alfa), but he won't take lessons due to the cost of insurance.

I've been thinking of upgrading one of my 500's with disc brakes, progressive suspension etc to make it more driveable for a youngster, but I reckon that a std 126 might be a better option.
