Hi guys I have just got my 126 back from the mechanic, who fixed two new drive shafts, I think he did a good job, but now my engine won't tick over and every time I come to a stop it cuts out. It was doing this every now and then when I was stopping before but it is every time now. ???
Is this something I can fix myself?....

Is yours aircooled? If it is, I have no experience. Still best to check fuel filters, fuel lines, vacuum pipes, ht leads, points, plugs, condenser, earth straps, oh, and make sure the battery is well connected and look for loose wires. Hopefully with some extended discussion with the aircooled faction you will be able to narrow it down.

I would check the battery connections and earth straps first as they may have been disturbed during the driveshaft work.

I would agree with Marc. When was the last time the car had a full service?

Have you tried adjusting the idle screw on the carburetor?

Ah... I found the problem! there are two tubes coming out of the side of the carburettor and one of them had come lose, I don't know what these tubes are... one goes to a box and one goes to what looks like a little motor. I fixed the one that goes to a black box back in and he seems to be running fine now. I also think I need to give the battery connections a good sanding down. Thanks guys!

Vacuum pipes I assume, tricky little bleeders :D
