Hi Chris, i have always put an inline fuel filter between the petrol pump and carb which has worked well, and if the car won't start it easy to see if the fuel getting upto the carb, be sure to look for the arrow on the filter this shows the direction the fuel goes in  (arrow head) out,
see you sunday.

thanks Peter, so have the smaller end (thinner) pointing back towards fuel pump? as im correct in understanding what youve said?
It goes on that line which comes out of pump heads towards airfilter then bend (curves) to the carb. ??

i have a really small filter, so it wont slow pressure down much.

Thanks Peter

regards

Chris

the flow thru the filter the arrow head points towards the carb, cut the rubber pipe with a stanley knife for a clean cut. if youv'e got a bullet shape filter the sharpe end goes to the carb.

with regard to your question its best you get the massive looking fuel filter which is for the 126 and correctly place on the feed pipe before the fuel pump this will ensure that your fuel pump will be protected from blocking up and thus save you the grief of changing it prematurely if you wish you can also fit a second smaller filter before the carb as many weber replacement carbs have .

hi michael, thats great, i said this to my brother we could put it befor ethe fuel pump, but he seemed to think it wouldnt make a difference it being before pump, as its unlikely the pump will get bloked.

im tempted to put two on now though, like you said.

Michael did you notice the image i put on? i have also uploaded the pics for you. here they are, i have put the image location as well incase you want to link them in the future. regards

cheers . you would be surprised the amount of crap that comes out of your fuel tank into your lines and straight into you fuel pump . fill your mouth up with stones then try to drink ,that is what will happen to your fuel pump .
