Hi guys,
As I've posted before, I bought a low-pressure (1,5 - 4 psi) Facet pump to replace the mechanical one.
I already understand that I would need to block the return line to the tank.
One thing that I do not know is what kind of pressure we should run to the 28 IMB carb?
What kind of pumps do you guys have and what kind of pressure are you running?
This is the pump I have:

Facet pump with regulator and braided hoses (for huge high pressure ;D )
Mounted on left hand side. Original pump removed and blanked off.

Hi! No info in the books about the pressure, only how to adjust the pushrod. Maybe the correct pressure is about 1,5 psi. Bis's one is 1.5-3.0 psi. DelLorto DHLA/Weber DCOE is 1.5-2.5psi.
If someone with perfectly working and properly adjusted pushrod can measure it at 4000rpm, would be great.
PS- bold numbers wasn't correct!

You shouldn't have a problem with that pump as long as the needle valve in the carb isn't worn electric pumps shut down when they reach there maximum pressure.
My bis with the weber twin choke runs at 0.20 bar = 2.90075475 pounds per square inch, my pump is 4 psi max (su type) never had a problem with over fuelling, Give it ago if you have any problems you can always put a pressure regulator in line like David's :D

Finally spotted in "Adjust and repair" (Reguluje i naprawiam PF 126p).
Min 40l/h at 4000rpm.
Pressure 14,7...24,5 kPa / 0,15...0,25 kg/cm2 or 2,13...3,55 psi, but no info if it is the pressure of the pump or the pressure between the pump and the carb, having in mind the return fuel.
PS - the given BIS one is inline pressure!

Thanks Deyan!
You have way too much knowledge for one person :D
I must say I'm quite disappointed in the quality of the Facet... I thought I was paying more for quality..
The wires are of bad quality hard plastic. this meant that when they go into the pump, they "cut" the insulation because of their stiffness. Also the output connector seems like it will need some teflon tape so that it doesn't leak. :(

The Fiat Manual states that the fuel pump runs between 4.2 to 6.5 FT H2O...which converts to 1.8 to 2.8 PSI at 5000 RPM...time for a regulator?
This may be a stupid question but why blank off the return pipe from the carb?
-
Otherwise the pump will not stop running. The facet type pumps stop running when they reach their max pressure. I suppose if you don't want to run a regulator you could keep the return but will have to live with reduced pump life.

Hmmm... old post but I like dajwid's setup!

It does look pritty nice 8).

If you get the correct electric pump you don't need a pressure regulator ;)

I have the very same facet pump that dajwid has - it's a solid state type but I hav'nt yet fitted it. Are they noisey?
-
Gadge, you drive a 126 and ask if the pumps noisy  :P
The solid state ones are reasonably quiet you could test the one you got just pump some petrol out of the tank into a can ;)
-
Noisey??? Naaaa mine runs like a sewing machine......... Abet one full of spoons :P
Someone said that because of thier design (a plunger that moves back and forth) they make a rattling noise like TAPTAPTAPTAPTAP and that perhaps a rotory one would be quiter?
-
I fitted the Facet Posi-Flow, it's supposed to be quieter than the older cube type although I havent had one, so can't comment, either way it's no louder than the engine :D I do get an occasional hammer drill noise from mine which is odd, but i'm putting it down to not following the installation insructions properly as they recommend mounting it at 45degrees (job for another day when I get time which is unlightly) and don't forget the anti/vibration mounting kit.
