Title: Karma

I have been on here about 6 months and only just sussed out the karma thing (on this forum, I knew the general karma thing beforehand).

At the side of posts there is a thumbs up, thumbs down thing. Treat it like a like/dislike button.
I should of used it, just didn't know about it.

Saying that, this is the only forum I have ever used, so might be the norm for a lot of you.

Many forums don't have any kind of Karma system, FIATForum on the other hand runs 2 simultaneously - a Thanks system for posts which people have found helpful, the number of which is displayed below your total post count so it gives an indication of roughly how much crap you post ;)

There's also a Like/Dislike system which isn't tracked but if you find someones post entertaining but don't feel the need to reply, a simple Like will do. If you find it offensive or similar Dislike it, 5 dislikes and it's hidden from view.

I am new to the Karma thing as well!!! I sort of knew what it meant but did not know how to engage it.

I've been on here for nearly three years and never understood what the whole karma thing was all about - cheers Marc! Just added one to your karma for the explanation...

I didn't understand it either, but I saw I've just been given 1 karma! Thank you!  ;)
