Title: hello from newcastle upon tyne!! help!
Post by: bronmarx50 on October 29, 2011, 11:37:55 PM
hello there! i just purchased one of the last 126p's ever built, its a fiat 126 town and is a 2000 model. it is obviously polish, left hand drive, and air cooled 650cc. i would like some advice on how to give it a little bit more ooomph  :D , however DO NOT WANT AN ENGINE SWAP and want to keep it AS CHEAP AS POSSIBLE! :P  its in quite good condition and has fso alloys?
i fancy putting some type of motorcycle exhaust on it, is this a good idea? just to make it sound better. as sports exhausts are rather expensive for such a short system :O !

Hey I'm from the area too (not Newcastle, but about 10 miles away in County Durham) :)

Unfortunately I'm hopeless on the mechanics, so can't suggest anything helpful :P Out of interest though do you go to the Metro Centre car show in McDonald's car park? It's finished now until next year, but hopefully my little 126 will be ready for when it starts again :D

Nice to see somebody else from the North East!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Is your 126 one of those, "Happy Ending" editions? Post some photos of your new purchase! Is it insured, MoT'd and on UK plates already? I have always been interested in buying one of those final editions.

The show is for any car really, although there's lots of American ones and custom ones :) The closest thing to a Fiat 126 there was a Fiat 500 :P
