Before you buy a Polish car LOOK AT IT!!!!, there is a lot of rubbish 'tarted up'. Polish MOT means nothing at all. (I used to get mine in Poland without even taking my car to the garage).
Driving a LHD in the Uk is not really a problem at all, But, if you are young insurance for a LHD could be expensive.
If regestration was so simple the car would have UK plates on it, and make twice the price ;D
Do not assume that newer is better, 90s cars are very very prone to rust.
These cars do not have power steering but the steering wheel is large so not too bad, fit a tiny wheel and it gets tough.
Insurance for an oldie like me is about £100 a year, fully com.
Good luck :)
PS: go for a rust free as you can afford, not much about ready for real use for under £1000, and rising.

Not all aircooled. only the newer ones, But a bit of additive and all is Ok.
Bis I think are Ok on unleaded.
Cars come up on Ebay and watch the forum.

The owner certainly knows his 126 cars is a member and reliable.
