Title: Engine Compartment Lock
Post by: UnaBellaDonna on March 02, 2011, 10:34:27 AM
Hi

Seemed the best place to post? Anyone know where I can get a locking handle for my engine compartment? 1973 126. At the mo it's a standard non locking handle.

Ta.

It was more some idiot pouring sugar/sand/cement/shampoo/conditioner/water/glue/cheese sauce/ragu into the engine. :P

Hey I think that is the almost the exact mix of ingredients that Bis13 uses to clean his engine  :o
If the catch is like the 500s then you can get one for less than £20  [-/

I tried come Lye...caustic soda on some bits the other day for just a few moments then washed it off quickly.

Wicked evil stuff but cleans aluminium like new but could cause some major injuries is not handled with extreme care :P

Don't breathe the fumes either :o
