Change of plans means reluctant sale of my 1983 aircooled, no Mot or tax. It has Superlight alloys on it but the tyres are u/s as the sidewalls have cracked and it is fitted with a glass sunroof. There are 2 engines and boxes with the car, the one that was in the car had stripped manifold threads so i bought a good running 2nd engine/box to replace it with, this has yet to be fitted but i could fit this engine in to help transportation. Brakes etc all work but it will obviously have to be trailered away. Body has been resprayed black and has quite a bit of rust round the n/s front arch and a bit of scabbing elsewhere on the body but is solid underneath. Looking for £450 no offers, i`m selling due to a much older classic car i have just bought but if i don`t get the asking price i would rather keep it. I can transport for the buyer for the cost of my petrol. Will post pics tommorrow.

So very tempted to buy it back! lol

That is too cheap. Ebay and you will get at least double the money.

Come on Eklipze3k, you know you want to. After all is still there in your profile picture.
I like, but I really don`t think it would be "healthy" to have an other one

I just can't afford it unfortunately - even at this price, I've got way too much going on with decorating the house at the moment, and the Sei is in need of a few things doing (replacement bushes, new suspension ...). I have to agree with Dajwid though, if you really need the money you could get a lot more on ebay but I'd be really sad to see it disappear into the wild like that.

Lovely in black! Good luck, don't think it'll be around long!

Thanks for the replies it has now been sold, i will be sad to see it go but my heart lies with another make of car. You have probably never heard of them but i have deep roots with Fairthorpe cars, i own several (most in bits) but i have rebuilt the car my dad built from a kit in 1958 and i have sold the Fiat to fund a very rare version, it is one of only two known to still exist. I have a blog on these cars if anyone is interested www.fairthorpe.blogspot.com
All the best...........Martin
p.s Eklipze3k it is going to a good home in Newcastle.

Hi Rob
Good to see its gone to a good home, Looks as if you have got some brownie points as well :D
-
Where'd you get the name from?
Yeah, we're really pleased with it. I'll be scouring the forum in the coming weeks to "work out" the Fiat scene. As you can probably guess my other love is Skoda's and the 126 joins my Skoda Rapid.

Good to see a happy face behind the wheel, and glad to see it's gone to a good home :)
Maybe I should remove the car from my avatar/signature now?

I don't mind sharing the FUT love.
