This car is absolutely stunning!!!!!
If I was a rich boy...
-
thanks! gutted having to let her go..if i was richer! need to amend above by needing to raise a large (not small) fortune! ;D
-
I can understand your point completely. Sometimes it`s just the way it goes.
I saw few pics of you car on the internet before, but I thought it was just a myth :)
It is a real gem. The only question is. Would you drive it, or just put it in a heated garage and cover it up with ten blankets?
-
hehe! maybe 12 blankets!! i think it needs to be trundling around as a summer driver..it won't do it a lot of good to sit idle..i went to a couple of local shows and it was the only one and drew a lot of interest,oh and pointing/smiling from people when i was on route! 8)

Nice car there! :D
Is the paint all original? Do you know if the reg is transferable too?
-
Kermit :-) Is about as good as it gets. This has been on the site many times.
Fan' bloody 'tastic.
Good luck with the sale. Hope it gets how much it should.
Dave

thanks for your kind comments guys! yes the paints original, don't know about the reg, i guess so but i'll not split it! i think all you guys should chip in and keep it as a shared 'pool car' for the club and all own a little bit of it! ;D
-
If i could convince my boss to keep it in his heated warehouse, i'd buy it tomorrow. But i've been there before. Hopefully we are building an extra unit next door, so we'll have some more space, so you never know! :D
-
Good luck with the sale i wonder if I can sway you not too sell again :-)
Where can I get those wheels and what size are they?
-
Wow! I'm speechless!
-
Regarding those wheels if I may chip in. They are the standard wheels as fitted to the early 594 ccs 126 range. They shared the same centre section & design as the Fiat 500R except that on the 500R they were 3.5 x 12 rims and on the 126 they were 4.0 x 12 rims to take the wider tyre. I think that they are the best of all the standard wheel rim designs and to my knowledge there were 3 variations on the 500 and 3 on the 126 including the Bis. I believe that some "special" standard rims were made for the Abarth cars that were something like 5.0 x 12 [-/

thanks Amateb8! ;) hey Draigflag...it would only take a small corner of your bosses garage!! or i'll look after it in mine for you for now! Nrg-i really do need to raise funds and no i'll regret it, not sure about the wheels, shall i check size for you when i get home? (tyres are 135/80/12) (just seen rustys uncles reply..sounds spot on fella!)
-
Is there any rust at all? Wheel Arches, sills etc? I'm a bit suspicious if the paint is original! Never seen one in that colour before either.
-
draigflag..its original colour and paint! no rust anywhere, not even a bubble as far as i have seen, (i'll check it over again obviously on ramps on mot day!) i have the original p'work from being bought and the owner had paid extra for full waxoyl treatment and i think he had kept having it done over the years so the floorpan is sound with nice thick layer and remember its only done 8k miles!... the first owner kept a log of every thing he did/changed/when he started it etc for years :)
-
Sounds like the kind of cared for classic everyone dreams about. Mine's in a similar condition, plenty of Waxoyl has kept it rust free, except mine's only an 89 not not as old as yours! (or as nice)
Thanks for the info, i'm sure it won't be around for long [-/
-
Thanks draigflag! Yours is lovely too..i'll ask pete to add a couple of underside pics I took today if it helps anyone..no calls on her yet though, :( I know its not best time of year to sell and not cheap but here's hoping! Don't get me wrong there's a few touched up stone chips and the corner of the bonnet had a repair years back (apparently the old guy dropped something on it in the garage and not matched the colour perfectly but its ok, never bothered me enough to get it all resprayed! )
Anyway, will keep you all posted in regards to viewing.

A few more photos of the underneath.
