Title: Chrome Car ?

Just been down town & saw a chome car being driven at speed in the opposite direction. I could not see the make. By chrome car I mean that the entire body shell was chrome plated so it kind of stood out  :D
I looked on google & there was a video of a Toyota Auris that is all chrome and it looked similar . Could it have been that car or has one of the manufacturers launched a chrome plated production model  ???

My guess is it was probably painted with something like Mirrachorme

You could do your car in it if you really wanted to but I'd wonder what it would be like to drive on a sunny day....

mirrachrome.. looks expensive.. would it be street legal.. u could blind somebody

I am seriously considering having my 126 bonnet done in chrome powdercoat (similar finish) then have an abarth style checkerboard painted over the top of it..

As a big SKA fan.. I have day dreamed about have checkerboard (two tone) down the side (thick stripe) of the little one...  8)

The car that I saw did look like the Toyota I mentioned & I think it had a brand new number plate which is why I wondered if it was some sort of new model limited edition  :)

Mirror chrome 3M vinyl wrap is available its more likely that this is used instead of paint as it gives a better mirror finish than paint, buts its very expensive :(

That wrap stuff is awesome, i want some :o

It would probably still work out cheaper than spray painting a car [-/

i guess it would be very hard to apply.. you would have to be very careful in regards to bubbles etc..
If  you did get moisture underneath ouch imagine the rust

Mystery solved , flashing through town this morning was the chrome car again. Managed to spot the Citreoen radiator grill so just found the answer on Google  [-/

"Citroen DS3 Chrome" by WORLEYS of High Wycombe which is just about 12 miles from here. Says they use the latest wrapping techniques. I am not clever enough to move the picture here but worth having a look  :D

If I was modding I would definitely paint my car in this colour! But i'm going back to the original factory colour. Plus its far too expensive!

Yeah , I have been "reflecting" on it myself  ;D
