Hi
Anyone got some pipe bending pliers I could borrow?
Ta

I have never heard of brake pipe bending pliers , did you mean a flareing tool kit ???
-
There are brake pipe bending pliers around http://www.frost.co.uk/item_detail.asp?productID=9392&frostProductName=Brake+Tubing+Forming+Pliers++&frostCat=&frostSubCat=&CatID=14&SubCatID= but I have never found that they are needed for copper or kunifer brake pipes. Perhaps they are of more use for steel brake pipes?
-
ive never used anything like that before! just be gentle and warm the pipe a little before you try to bend it, the only bit of kit you really need is the flaring tool.

This is a brake pipe bending tool. It has a replacable centre depending on the size of pipe you are using. This one was made in the USA KD brand no 2189.

I never knew that these things existed & I have never used one over the years even with the old steel pipes. But you would have to be crazy to use the old plated steel piping now even if you could get it. Fit one of the corrosion free types , easy to work , and once fitted you can forget all about them [-/

forget about what?

;) Can't remember !
However I am now more educated as I know that brake pipe bending tools exist also from the a/c exhaust thread I have been introduced to Belleville Washers that I had never heard of before. Googled them but can't work out what they are all about ::)

Thanks for your replys! It is actually quite easy to do it by hand so I don't think I will need one!
