Hi everyone,
I've been reading this forum for over 2 years so I don't feel new, but it's taken me this long to get round to registering
Anyway, I bought the beast a couple of years ago and ran it for a year and had great fun bombing around back-roads on the way to work.
The guy I bought it off was an ex-royal engineer, and had pretty much rebuilt it and resprayed it(he also had and might still have a 126 based factory built kit car, kind of looked a bit like a mini x1/9). But after a year on the road and sitting out in the rain, rust started to bubble through in the usual places and I found that the sill under the rear window had practically disintegrated :o (before it was resprayed, just not repaired)
I attempted some repairs but decided to take it off the road and put under a cover to await restoration. Well, a year later i've only made a new dash, but i'll have a garage to put it in soon so hopefully will be able to crack on with it.
So that's my story, nice to finaly write something!

I think i'll be needing a few body parts, is Axel Gerstl the best place? They seem fairly reasonably priced on there, don't know about shipping though.
Here's the dash:

I've made a plate for the hole above the head unit, which will have the air vent levers and a couple of toggle switches, just because i like toggle switches!
There is also a hole behind the material on the passenger side where the glovebox will be, need to make that out of sheet aluminium.
