Why do you need an other carb? I thought you got the car going with the old one.

i thought i had too but its still playing up somethings not right!
it'll start and run but go up a hill or put it under pressure and it wont have it then it start again unless i leave it for ages. Pumps fine spark everything so im going to try a new carb just to eliminate it because wen i cleaned it it wasn't 100%

Check the pump is working when it stops, as the Bis ..well all of them suffer with the rod becoming too short when the engine expands it stops pushing the pump. Also check the points. I've had it in the past the condenser had stopped me putting a load on the engine.
Might be cheaper than a new carb [-/
