I'm looking for a set of RHD headlights,
anyone have a sare set for sale?

If you are stuck get LHD ones and change the lenses.

you usually use the lenses out of the old units..that's if its a RHD model.
are you after lights for a 500 or 126?

Left hand drive lenses are not a major problem , you just stick a bit of tape in the right place for the MOT then forget about them for the rest of the year. But when searching for RHD ones include Fiat 127 , 900t & old Fiorino vans in your quest  [-/

If you have a set of LHD I think I still have a set of lenses in my garage.

I remember seeing some threads re replacing LHD lens with RHD ones, but how do you remove the RHD lens from its headlight housing? How do you stick it onto the LHD light housing?

I learnt the hard way after breaking a precious Fiat 500 one  >:(
So the next time I tipped some petrol into the unit so that it could soften the seal over a day or two . The sealant was then easy to remove . Then you can set the new lenses in with some sort of silicon / bathroom sealant.  [-/

polyurethane is best if you can get a hold of it.
That's the mastik used to bond windscreens in place

Do I soak or submerge in petrol the headlight (glass/lens face down) up to the area were the lens and headlight body meet? Then repeat the excercise with the LHD headlight.

I just tipped some in through the hole where the bulb goes then you could slosh it around without any spillage. Do not attempt to remove the lense until you are happy that the seal has softened then scrape away as much as you can before you do flip it out  [-/

Many, many thanks for your assistance on this. I shall have a go and will let you know what happens. I need to get hold of LHD lenses i.e if everything goes well.
