A few pics of my 500 resto project ive restarted work after a few years of it sat idle, proving bloody hard work un doing rusty nuts and bolts. Luckily i bought shares in WD40 before starting!!!  ;D

You might want to have a look at the suspension, looks like its leaning a bit to the drivers side  :P

i was more worried about my mattress its leaning on, got nothing to sleep on at the moment!

hi there great project, may i ask how did you remove the, how should i put it, black tar, crud, dried on oil from previously exploded engine from the engine bay? looks like you've done a good job of removing yours and im just about to atempt it .

yes quite a bit of rust but not bad for a 40 year old car

what you see in the engine bay is zeibart which is a waxoyl, its horrible stuff real pain to remove, ive used all sorts to try and get rid of it, an electric heat gun, paint stripper and scraper was the best method. Paint strippers sort of smears it over but does work eventually.

WOuld suggest trying to remove as much as possible with a scrapper to get most of it off before using nitormors paint stripper or a heat gun.

I am picking up a compressor this week i won off ebay so i can start sand blasting it all off, hopefully this will be the best method.
