Looks pretty good from my end.  Obviously you have a heap of room to store all of these!

Really dumb question.  It's not this one which at 1215 WST is still in a live eBay auction is it? ($940 at the moment)

Pictures certainly look like it is.

F.....k, what a trip home. 10 mins into the trip from Surry Hills, I stalled it and it wouldnt start. I stopped bang in the middle of one of the busiest intersections in the city and the car caused a riot. I moved it onto the footpath while i tried to figure out what went wrong and had people asking if i could close the bonnet to take photos with it. Figured out what it was (starter motor, gave it a tap with a hammer and off she went) got going and it easliy did 90 kays on the freeway all the way home. Such a good little car with plenty of go.

Yes, if you plan to keep a tool kit in your car then tool no.1 is always the hammer :)

DISASTER........

My newly aquired niki was stolen on the weekend. It was stolen outside a newsagency at about 10am on Saturday and was recovered by 11.30 am the same day. I reported it stolen immediately and the police were able to identify it on the road soon after. They gave chase and the f..ing b's that stole it lost control and went sideways into a gutter and landed on its side. Luckily it was only at about 50-60 kph and the damage isnt too bad but still alot to fix.

New front screen, complete front suspension, rear control arm and panel work to the dorr and quarter.

Lucky me hey!!!

Holy c**p! Sorry to hear that. You'd think those p***s wouldn't even bother with a 126. Hope they make them pay for the damage  :o

Would be ince to make them pay, but hey this is Australia with a legal system which seems to ignoire the victim of crime.  Looking into my crystal ball, I bet the judge will say that poor little Johnny thief failed in 3rd grade finger painting and the guilt he's felt for the rest of his life has lead to his life of crime, so it's society's fault...  Ultimatley GSXR126 will be the one paying for it. >:(

Hope they didn't wreck the gearbox during their brief drive.

Yeah, stripped all the parts i need from my 25K Klms 90 model on bloody Australia Day! Not what i expected to be doing on this day. On Monday my suzuki also poo itself (water pump bearing collapsed), and the cortina blew a head gasket on Sunday so not having a good run atm. Three cars with rego and not one of them driveable.

Not happy having to strip parts off my others as i dont want these things to die but i suppose stripping one to get another back on the road isnt too bad.

The cops were very sympathetic to my situation and advised me that i should take civil action against these guys. The cop that caught them is a ducati freak and a fan of all things fiat and said that he would testify in his capacity, but also as a witness should that be required.

So legal proceedings to commence today.

Ciaoflyer, shes still a beauty, started and actually drove it onto my car trailer in the condition of the photo believe it or not. I will enjoy repairing it and improving it (the stuff i said i would do before this happenned), but i would rather be working on the project126 (so much still to do)

Aaron, the gearbox seems to be ok, well as it was before.

Hello. I am glad they caught the thieves. Hopefully, you will get some compensaton towards repairs. I am just curious. You have eight 126 nikis, how many of these cars are on the road?

I have only this one on the road. The project niki is near complete but still some work to do on it. I bought a registered one because i took the project to an engineer and he laughed at me for building it. He had no bad comments on the build quality, just the concept (too much power, not enough brakes, Rusty - he wants minimum 275mm rotors etc, etc). I mentioned that the largest legal size engine is 1352cc (my engine's a 1300) and should be regarded by the RTA as a legal project. He said ok but still wouldnt be comfortable doing it. So my options are to look for another engineer, or swap the rego plates and sticker from this registered one to the project (illegal, i know but i'm sick of these engineers not wanting to engineer something that should be legal anyway.)

I have three that are scrap metal candidates, one in absolutely showroom condition, the one above registered and finally back on road today (pics soon),
one that i'm planning on rebuilding to standard spec, the project niki, and another that i was saving for a turbo bike engine project (to be started no earlier than 2011 as my wife is cracking it at me spending so much time with my cars).

I have changed everything mentioned above, with parts from the scrappers but that wasnt a good move - steering rack stuffed and rear control arm bent a little, which makes it interesting to drive. I will need to pull a rack and a control arm from one of the others AGAIN.

I'm selling my suzuki swift soon so i will be "allowed" to rego another car in the near future ( I have four cars registered and on the road - Suzuki, Integra, Cortina and this Niki) and that will definately be a 126, either the showroom condition one or the project if i can get it certified.

Cheers
Dan

Take note of the little bugger's names, find out where they live and make sure their first car can never keep the tyres full of air for more than about a week! 8)

Naa only jokes bugger sorry to see such a beauty knackered like that!

I think they are interchangeable. Presume the light pattern will be identical to the UK spec RHD headlamps. Could you kindly post some photos please.
