The desirability factor is definitely strong but, I think, a bit overpriced. But if I had lots of spare cash and being a Fiat enthusiast, would I buy it? Maybe.

If I sold my other BIS, I would have had bid on your orange 126 to the end. I think I may have contacted you on this. I thought i had a sure buyer for my other one but alas, the buyer pulled out. >:(

I do wonder though, when cars are this rare, if the price is just plucked out of the air as there is no point of comparison. That price could get you 2 or 3 very well restored 500's!

I think the Abarth is probably better value, I spotted that about a month ago, and it must be only the second genuine Abarth I've seen for sale, far rarer than a well looked after 500, still I think Â£38K could buy a bit more fun though!

But at nearly Â£70k you are well within Lamborghini Countach territory, and a screaming V12 would probably be a little more fun.

Thier shop is full of them, all undergoing FULL restoration. Hear this, there is also a 126 undergoing full restoration. When I joked about the 126 being out of place, he responded by saying that there is a growing interest in the 126, even for the later models like mine. He also noticed that the prices for 126s are slowly rising. Basically, they confirmed what we are all observing!! It is terrific news for all 126 owners.
