Out of interest the ones fitted to the 500R are narrower than the early 126 ones. [-/

Thougth they where 4.0 x 12".
-
I thought they were all the same and bought a set which are wider and heavier construction than a standard 500 wheel. But I measured a set on a standard 500R that turned up at a rally and the rim width was the same as the standard 500. I also believe that a wider set was mentioned on a forum this year and it was suggested that they were an Abarth special part.

Thanks for the info, are the ones you have 4.0" wide & where did you buy them?
-
They were just an item that I went for on eBay one day , they turn up from time to time. They are the 126 width which is 4" across the inside of the rims. Some of the later 500 modifications and the early 126 developements still seem to be a bit of a mystery as I found out when I bought a front brake drum that I thought was 500 but I discovered that the early 126 ones wetre reinforced

hi, i have a set, pm me and I will give you hubby's number for techy info!!

Also if you go for those rims you will need a new set of wheel bolts with a tapered face [-/

Will one of these wheels still fit in the spare area ,on a 500 or will i use one of the 3.5" standard wheels?
