Title: BIS Cooling - electric pump
Post by: fly on November 24, 2009, 10:02:32 PM
Hi guys,
I was reading through one of the other threads - about 5 below as I write - anyway, has anybody else done this on their BIS, ie ditch the the mechanical pump in favour of an electric item; does anybody know what sort of pump to use, an auxiliary or charge cooler off something else, or something totally different? Any ideas or knowledge anybody can impart would be appreciated - or do you think that it would be a fruitless excerise trying to use an electric pump and I should leave well alone?

In my opinion a complete waste of money, if you intend keeping the car just remove the thermostat or consider investing in the top mounting thermostat kit available from Ricambio on Ebay, I fitted the conversion 3 years ago and never had a problem with overheating [-/

Think I'd reached that conclusion - took the thermostat out at the weekend, also going to fit a copper head gasket, Ricambio have some on ebay.
