I got a PM from a guy in Australia enquiring about my Disc Brake Adaptor Plates. All got quite interesting especialy when got an e-mail with the following extract ::)
"I actually have 7 nikis ranging in condition from scrap metal to showcar. The project that is getting the adaptor plates is currently being fitted with a K8 GSXR 1300 Hayabusa engine and box. I've managed to get the weight down to 474kg to provide a power to weight ratio of 1:2.06. With me in it, it should still be around 1:2.39. Goes quite well, hence the need for your product. I took it around the block for a test drive with the drum brakes and nearly killed myself as it got up to 220kph in about ten seconds, went to "gently" apply the brakes at that speed and the drums exploded. Yes i have speed issues, and a few pink slips (MOTs) to claim. We still race for pink slips here in Sydney and i have lined up an 07 Subaru STI (easy meat) and a 800hp Holden Torana (should be close but I'll get him).
A 500 would be nice but they go for around 20k for a decent one here so no go. Yours looks like a ripper."
Not sure about my 500 being a ripper but that 126 certainly is. :o Had to check with the guy before I posted the extract but it seemed too interesting to keep it under wraps [-/
220kph

poor bloke the sun has got him and given him a death wish! thats some shock they shall get racing against a 126 such as that the only thing is can it corner?!
-
;D Now look here Bis Boy ! You must pay more attention cos he said he went round the block
-
at 220kph? is he the stig?
-
Not sure about the Stig , maybe more like an Aussie star in a reasonably fast car. He sent me some pics & a list of his fleet
"I have included some pics of some of my cars (not all fiats) but the complete list is as follows:
1. 1961 EK Holden Ute - 6 year build up, 350 chev, TH350, 9 Inch - has run 11.18 quarter mile - has won a few trophies at shows
2. 1971 Ford Cortina - 5 year build up, 355 windsor stroker, C4, BW diff - has run 10.85 quarter mile - got kicked out of eastern creek as it ran under 11sec with no rollcage
3. 1991 Suzuki Swift GTI turbo - (no photo) - this is my daily driver - has run 12.8 quarter mile.
4. 2001 Honda Integra Type R - had to keep the missus happy (no photo)
5. 1989 FSM Niki, red - scrap metal candidate
6. 1991 FSM Niki, white - possible restorer
7. 1991 FSM Niki, white - converted to bike engine (pic taken early in the conversion) I'm at work and dont have access to all my pics. Will send some more pics from home when i get a chance.
8. 1991 FSM Niki, white - will be converted to bike engine as well. (no photo)
9. 1991 FSM Niki, red - currently stored in a mates shed - another scrap metal candidate (no photo)
10. 1990 FSM Niki, red - currently stored in a mates shed - possible restorer (no photo)
11. 1989 FSM Niki, white - at my mates - showroom condition, stock standard, immaculate (no photo)"
Going to keep in touch with the guy , He said I could have a drive of the beast 126 if I get down to Sydney. As I have been there twice in the last 4 years with another trip provisionaly planned for next year, Who Knows ::)

Hey Rusty, I'm still having no luck finding my VIN number stamp on my Niki here in Melbourne, Aus.
This friend of yours in Sydney, having 7 Niki's sounds interesting to me because possible he may know something about where Aus Niki's are stamped or shed some light on my dark situation lol
Could you possible ask him for me or get him to eMail me? [email protected].
Cheers. Jason.
Ps. I think a brick tied to a rope and thrown out of the Niki window would be more effective at stopping than using the standard drums at 220kph lol

This is where it is on the Bis.
-
Thanks Pete :D
I beleive that my Niki's body simply wasn't stamped :o
8 different guys have searched all over with a 500w light + aussie cunlight and no sign of it lol
Looks like Im going to have to go through with the Police Motor Vehicle theft squad and hopefully get a rego clearance document so i can register the car.
Thanks a bunch for your help guys :-) ..the mission continue's.. Time to paint motor parts as I wait i guess [-/
