At the NMCR Rally i had a chat with Grenville Taylor Who owns this immaculate Autobianchi.

I forgot to get some pics but this is what he did, Demonstrated on my bis, drill a number of holes into the back panel behind the number plate, Paint the bare metal Then mount the plate back on using 10mm spacers. With perspex plates use a metal backing.
