Title: waxoyl removel ?

hello there as you know i am in the process of welding a new front end on my fiat 500l , and my welder friend would like to if possible remove all the old waxoyl etc as its hampering him , and it would make life alot easier if it was gone

does anybody know how to remove it?

please please any help would be fantastic

Blow torch or hot air gun, paint scraper, wire brush (rotary wire brush for an electric drill is great) and dont forget the gloves and goggles!
